ABOUT

I work at the Department of Place Psychology and Social Change at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw, where I lead two projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) (see the Projects section for more information). I have also worked as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and the University of St Andrews in Scotland. I have taught at the Jagiellonian University and SWPS University as well.

In my research, I try to address both long-standing and emerging theoretical questions using methods that are new or still relatively uncommon in social psychology, such as Natural Language Processing, video analysis, Ecological Momentary Assessment and Virtual Reality, as well as analytical techniques such as meta-SEM and RI-CLPM. My main research interests include intergroup contact, the psychology of collective action, political polarisation and minority stress.

Alongside social psychology, my other major interest is data analysis. I have developed my skills in this area through, among other things, summer schools (e.g., the ICPSR Summer Program, where I also worked as a teaching assistant) and postgraduate studies in Data Science at Warsaw University of Technology. I am happy to share my expertise with people who are planning research, would like to analyse data they have already collected, or are preparing grant proposals or dissertations (see the Consultations section for more information).

From time to time, I also collaborate with non-governmental organisations (including, so far, Campaign Against Homophobia, the Ocalenie Foundation, and More in Common), government bodies (the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights), and organisations in the private sector.
